Castelfiorentino 1947 The current sports field of Castelfiorentino, transformed into an immediate postwar period in an American war cemetery to accommodate the remains of the allied soldiers in the liberation of the area. In 1950 the cemetery was transferred to the American cemetery of Falciani, near Tavarnuzze (Florence), which brings together all the fallen in the area of Florence. The place in 1950 has returned to being the one that was before, the current sports field in Castelfiorentino dedicated to football and athletics.
